Fitness On YouTube

We all watch YouTube, it’s a fact . Whether it’s for entertainment or information it has become an online destination where we all find ourselves visiting almost daily. If you’re into fitness and health then you may think sitting and watching videos online is counterproductive however if you see YouTube as a source of information it can in fact give your fitness life a boost. So since your already going there for cat videos, fails and that bloody awful carpool karaoke why not check out some of the best Fitness Channels on YouTube as well. Many of which will give you endless motivation, information and even entertainment.

1.CT Fletcher(CT Fletcher Motivation)

Known for motivational videos mostly CT Fletchers YouTube channel is a must see. With just over 1 million subscribers right now CT has a large influence on the online fitness community. An ex soldier and a holder of weightlifting records he now has a very distinct style and voice which he shows on all his videos. Although if you don’t like foul language then this isn’t the right channel for you.

2.Dana Linn Bailey (DanaLinnBailey)

Winner of the inaugural Olympia Women’s Physique competition, Dana is a hugely popular figure in the fitness industry. Married to Rob Bailey the owner of Flag nor Fail Clothing, Dana competes in the Women’s Physique category of bodybuilding and attends many fitness conventions worldwide. Through Robs clothing company Dana has been able to set up a huge private gym called the Warhouse Gym (and recently a public one too). It is from here that most of her videos are filmed but they are also shot as she preps for competitions and travels.

3.Elliot Hulse (Strength Camp)

He often  splits opinions online but Elliot Hulse still provides a lot on his channel. He is an ex strongman competitor and now owner of his own gym where he employs a team of trainers. He had a long running show called Yo Elliot! where he answered questions on a regular basis. With just over 1.6million subscribers, his channel is a great mix of informative and motivational videos. There is also some great entertainment to be found when he and fellow trainers compete and joke around with each other. His series called Open Gym is a great show to watch for all fitness enthusiasts.

4.Hodge Twins (TwinMuscleWorkout)

Possibly the most entertaining in terms of how they speak and interact with each other, the Hodge Twins are a pair of fitness models who have two successful YouTube channels however this one has more subscribers at over 1.5million. Chatting about everything fitness related in question and answer videos, showing tips and correct form in workout videos and even making us jealous in crazy food eating videos the Hodge Twins cover all basis. Watch them and you will make “All kinds of gains”.

5.Furious Pete (Furious Pete)

Pete Czerwinski better known as Furious Pete is a successful YouTube film maker and vlogger  with a combined subscriber base between his two main channels of around 3.7million. Pete has a great back story of overcoming anorexia in the past and cancer in more recent times only to become a big fitness model and personality. He owns his own clothing brand known as D4L or Dedicated for Life and is also known for his amazing ability to eat large amounts of food at incredible speeds. This ability has given Pete several world records most of which can be seen on his channel. Pete recently beat cancer for a second time and has vlogged his experience of this. His health issues in the past and present are both great displays of bravery and will motivate you in your daily life.

6.Barbell Brigade (Barbell Brigade)

A smaller channel with just over half a million subscribers, Barbell Brigade is a gym owned by Bart Kwan who is better known for his other YouTube channels such as JustKiddingNews and JustKiddingFilms. This channel however is all about their gym, its members and it can give great insights into Powerlifting events. There are some instructional videos here but this channel is mostly about motivation, talking about all things gym related and there are some great vlogs from Bart and other members following their daily lives and competitions. Well worth a watch if you have an interest in Powerlifting and would like to see how it works. Barbell Brigade also have their own clothing line which they sometimes give updates about on the channel.

7.Mark Bell (supertraining06)

The main channel for Super Training gym and its owner Mark “Smelly” Bell. This channel has the smallest subscriber base at around 177 thousand but it is a must for those who are interested in Powerlifting and heavy weightlifting. There is plenty of variety on this channel with vlogs, chats with fitness names, motivation and a great series called Strong Lifts which showcases great lifts and moments from various people around the world. There is also a Podcast run on the channel called PowerCast. Featuring other YouTubers from time to time this channel can be a great source of entertainment also. Mark Bell and Silent Mike are fairly well known within the fitness industry and Mark owns his own weightlifting equipment company where he sells his own lifting device known as a Sling Shot. He also featured in the documentaries “Bigger, Faster, Stronger” and “Prescription Thugs”.

We hope these YouTube channels help motivate, inform and inspire you in your daily workouts and even in your general daily lives. There are many more channels out there and these are just some of the best in our opinion. Subscribe and follow some of these channels and see for yourself how they can help you out.
