TATTOOS FOR TUK TUK CARTEL

Have you ever hopelessly sat back and thought that there isn’t a single tattoo that your mother would approve of? You’re probably right, you know your mother better than we do, but Iconic Offices think they can offer you an opportunity for the next best thing, a tattoo for a good cause.

Iconic Offices, a trendy and up and coming serviced office company located in Dublin, are excited to announce their partnership with the Tuk Tuk Cartel on January 21st, 2017. The Tuk Tuk Cartel is an inspired and rebellious organization that have dedicated themselves to developing unique outlets that galvanize awareness and support for their various projects in underdeveloped regions around the world.

On this particular occasion, Tuk Tuk have really outdone themselves with their ingenuity and initiative and we are excited to announce that on Saturday the 21st, Iconic Offices will be hosting the Cartel’s first ever Tuk Tuk Tattoo for Charity event at our SOBO Works location on Windmill Lane.

LIVE TATTOOS

Currently, two amazingly talented and renowned tattoo artists, Olga Mopik Sienkiewicz and Krölink will be arriving in Dublin with a portfolio of beautifully crafted flash designs that can be tattooed for donation on the day between 10am and 9pm. Keep in mind that these are real tattoos, not fake or stick-on – so while it is highly suggested that you take advantage of this unique opportunity to be tattooed by some of the best in the industry, it’s not mandatory.

LIVE ART AND MUSIC

Iconic and Tuk Tuk have also lined up some unbelievable live musicians like Ukulele Tuesdays, Kev Olden  and Romain Ricard as well as comedian Sean Reid to entertain the masses throughout the day and into the evening.  The lovely and wonderful Emma Sheridan has also been approached and agreed to do live illustrations at the event between 2-6 pm; a unique experience that should definitely not be missed. In addition to the live entertainment, art pieces donated from Balla Ban Art Gallery, Vents Dublin Graffiti and Emma Sheridan will be up for silent auction. In addition to this, items, including a gift vouchers from one of Dublin’s leading tattoo studios Ink Factory, will be raffled on the day.

Ireland’s first ever fair chain coffee roaster Moyee Coffee  have stepped in to contribute their fine tasting and ethically developed coffee into the mix to keep you all upbeat for the day’s shenanigans. And, if the coffee doesn’t keep you wholly motivated the sweet sensation that is Off-Beat Donuts  have  very “sweetly” agreed to donate a few of their beautifully crafted loops of wonderment to the cause. Fear not; beer, games, other ‘adult’ beverages and nibbles will also be provided on the day, including some quality craft beer from the beer passionate guys at Boyne Brewhouse!

ALL FOR A GREAT CAUSE

All proceeds from the event including ticket sales, silent auction items and tattoo donations will be going directly back to the charity to support the first ever Eco-School in Kenya. The school currently hosts 67 children in three classrooms, but 500 children are still awaiting a space. The hope is to build 10 more classrooms by using earth bags and earth bricks – an environmentally friendly and cost effective construction method that will also provide jobs and sustainable practices within the area. You can find out more about the project by visiting the Tuk Tuk Cartel site here .

If you’re interested in contributing to the event, writing about the event, or taking photos of the event please feel free to contact Amy Forde for additional information.

We look forward to seeing you there!
